Google rebrands Android Market as Google Play

admin On Tuesday March 6th, Google unified its digital marketplace for mobile applications, music, movies and books under the new name of Google Play. The Android Market will now be known as the Google Play Store. Google’s eBookstore and recently launched music service will also be part of the Google Play Store. MLB.com At Bat 12 App sets launch records

admin The return of MLB.com At Bat for 2012 saw new standards set with the fifth edition of the app drawing 2.9 million accesses and delivering 450,000 live audio and video streams, increases of 132% and 83% respectively over the first weekend of Spring Training games in 2011.

Apple Announces New iPad with Retina Display

admin Today Apple unveiled their new iPad and updated Apple TV, though the main point was introducing the new iPad with a Retina Display and 4G cellular capability.
The new iPad has, as expected, has a sharper screen, driven by a faster processing chip that acts as the “brains” of the device. What was more surprising was that the new features mean the tablet computer will be slightly thicker and heavier than the iPad 2, because it needs a larger battery to power the high-resolution screen. admin The iMonitor list is based on the iMonitor rating system which scores each app based on its design, functionality, and use of rich media content. The apps on this list, which come from a variety of countries, companies, and developers, score in the top percentile of the more than 5000 apps evaluated by iMonitor since its inception in 2010. The list is included in the lead article of the latest issue of FIPP’s Magazine World, released today.
