On October 15th, Microsoft release two videos highlighting the new Surface Tablet and announcing that its coming on October 26th, so are you ready? The two video take two different paths but both infuse music with images to help excite the new surface base what looks to be another player in the tablet market. The first titled “The Surface Movement” use a rhythmic beat and what looks like dancers from The League of Extraordinary Dancers (LXD) to show the ease of adding and separating the keyboard and tablet as well as highlighting Windows 8.
While the second video titled “Microsoft Surface Street Art Time Lapse”, has the same beat, but instead of highlighting the tablet’s features, it is a video of a advertisement of the Surface being painted on the side of a building using a suspended scaffold, which moves in time with the music.
These two videos are to help build excitement for the launch of the Windows surface, but the main question will be how many devices will make this launch a success and how will this impact the sales of Android and iOS devices. Microsoft needs a game changer to help push them into the mobile battle. Will the Surface help gain ground and will the integration of Bing with Facebook help to draw more customers, only time will tell.
