appsbar (appsbar.com), the free-to-use resource for creating and publishing Smartphone apps, has become the largest Android development community in the world in only ten months. appsbar has been touting the Android Platform and the ease of creating Android apps since their April 2011 launch. During the same time, Android technology is aligning to overtake Apple as the platform of choice for developers.
“It is an exciting time for appsbar.com as we continue to grow exponentially, with over 70,000 users to date,” says Scott Hirsch, founder of appsbar.com. “We want to continue to grow and we are pleased with our growth in the Android market since we have always been strong believers in Android’s technology.” Hirsch admits, “While I know as an app developer whose apps work across multiple platforms it would be politically correct to say I’m device agnostic, but that’s simply not true. I love the Android platform, I use an Android and I’m proud to be an Android Evangelist.”
Another new study from In-Stat predicted that by 2015 Android technology may account for 80% of developing markets. The survey continues to say that the more affordable Android Smartphone will most likely become the choice product for consumers.
While appsbar.com’s growth in the Android market may be exceptional, the company also provides a platform for iPhones, iPads, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Facebook apps through their HTML5 technology that has been recently released. appsbar.com has now made it possible for its apps to be shared and used on sites supported by HTML5, enabling appsbar to continue its tremendous growth as a community of do-it-yourself app builders. HTML5 allows users’ apps to get infinite amount of exposure.
